This jetty was built in 1994 which makes it newer than Mersing Jetty.

Most importantly, the tides do not affect the ferry schedules as much as with Mersing Jetty.

Even though Route 2 is nearer, less people will take this route because most of the journey is curved road.
As with Kuala Lumpur, you have basically 2 options to get to Tanjung Gemok from Malacca – take the bus or self-drive.
